Desala’s primary operative on Earth. A formidable Sirusian of rare physical prowess, few moral compunctions and immense ego, Merkot was a wild card, even amongst the Sirusian special forces. Cut loose following a black book operation on Sirusian soil which resulted in the unsanctioned deaths of several civilians, Merkot transitioned to the private security sector – where he quickly caught Desala’s attention. He was soon sent to Earth to secure Desala’s interests, including the recovery of Marduk’s body (in the faint hope of earning her father’s favour) and to discredit Satan wherever possible. As part of a reciprocal relationship with a certain American intelligence agency, Merkot performs off-book operations in exchange for unrestrained access to military networks and equipment.
